Between Quebec’s mosque and Paris’s Louvre

In light of the recent terrorist attacks
in Canada and Paris, Adb Al-
Rahman Al-Rashid writes that the
world is in a crisis of insane ideas
that could infiltrate every country,
language and value system due to
prevailing politics and global
instability. Al-Rashid quotes the
Canadian mosque’s imam who
pointed out that Alexandre
Bissonnette was a victim before he
became a murderer, and that before
he put bullets in the heads of his
victims someone had filled his head with malicious ideas. “The world has become
polluted amidst a general global negligence towards terrorism. The ideas planted in the
minds of the two terrorists pose a bigger danger than the world’s weapons. We are
fighting a unique war. Every war has its title, leaders, victors and losers except for the
war of radical beliefs and battles of hatred,” said the Saudi columnist.
